Color palettes I collected over time.

So my mom and I have been working the same waitress job for 5-6 years now. She had been waitressing years before, but this is recently. Anyway, about… 15 minutes ago this guy she waited on left and told her to take care. Just that. Prior to this she had talked to him about Italy. Her people are from Florence, this and that, and she said she’s never been. She’s got 8 years of art education and she’s working a waitress job. It’s pretty… Sad and disappointing, I guess. Her and my father divorced 6 years ago and she hasn’t had a real job ever. Just been stuck in a small town she’s not from.
This man who we have never seen before tipped her 1000 dollars for a trip to Italy. Walked out, not another word.
…you know. Just when I start to lose faith in humanity….Hm.
Reblogging some of my older works here, thank you for featuring! <3
For some reason these were tagged under digital art, but all of these were painted with watercolors. The lineart for the boy riding the beautiful horse was made by Pettry and I got to color it. c:
Yesterday The Disney Princess Royal Court, along with Queen Eleanor (Merida’s mother) gathered at Cinderella Castle for the coronation of Disney’s 11th princess, Merida!!!
OKAY, NOW that I finally got it working and not a gray box, here is a little Natu I animated for my boyfriend, who loves Natus. It’s 170 frames. :3
There’s something about the act of intentionally going in and removing artists comments from a reblog, even just a line or two of text, that never fails to make me uncomfortable. These would totally be the people in real life that compliment your work and then offer you 2 bucks for it or ask for free drawings in exchange for “exposure and because hey they actually like it”. Nothing quite like implying someone likes your drawing, but they don’t value it as work or what you have to say about it (even if what you’re saying is trivial).
And in a very tumblr specific way, imo like removing comments feeds that gross repost no-need-for-credit culture blogs that exist? By disassociating the artist you can sort of inadvertently reaffirm that they don’t matter because “you should be happy they like your work at all” sentiment, etc.
I really don’t need that kind of condescending approval.
